2016 Student Application Guidelines for Master’s Program (Entrance Examination for International Students) the Graduate School of Design, Kyushu  University                         

  

 

1. Number of applicants that will be accepted

   Department of Design: only a small number

                        Human Science

Communication Design Science

Environment and Heritage Design

Content and Creative Design

   Department of Design Strategy: only a small number

 

 

2. Persons eligible for admission

   Persons without Japanese nationality (excluding persons who have permanent residence in Japan) who fulfill any of the following conditions can submit applications:

(1)  Persons who graduated from universities or colleges in Japan, or expect to

       graduate before March 31, 2016.

 

(2)  Persons who earned a bachelor’s degree as stipulated under the fourth

       paragraph of Article 104 of the School Education Act or those who

       expect to obtain a bachelor’s degree before March 31, 2016.

 

(3)  Persons who have completed 16 years of schooling outside of Japan, or

       those who expect to complete such schooling before March 31, 2016.

 

(4)  Persons who have completed 16 years of schooling by taking

       correspondence courses provided by foreign schools

  in Japan or those who expect to complete courses before March 31, 2016.

 

(5)  Persons who have completed 16 years of schooling prescribed by the 

      Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology in foreign

      educational institutes located in Japan, whose status is authorized as a

      university by foreign authorities concerned, or those who expect to complete

      such courses before March 31, 2016.

 

(6)  Persons who have been designated by the Minister of Education, Culture,

      Sports, Science, and Technology.

 

(7)  Persons who are acknowledged by our university as having acquired required

       credits with outstanding records and will have been enrolled in a university

       for more than three years before March 31, 2016, or persons who are

 

 acknowledged by our university as having acquired required credits with

 outstanding records and will have completed 15 years of schooling outside of

  Japan before March 31, 2016.

 

(8)  Persons who are acknowledged by our university’s individual admissions

      qualification screening as having academic abilities equivalent to or greater

      than university graduates and will be 22 years of age by March 31, 2016.

 

 

3. Schedule of examination

(1)  Application period: October 20 (Tue.) – October 23 (Fri.), 2015

       Persons applying based on qualification (7) or (8) above must undergo a

       prior review of qualifications, which is conducted during the period from

       October 6 (Tue.) to October 9 (Fri.), 2015.

 

(2)  Date of Examination: December 5 (Sat.), 2015
